WHERE EMOTION MEETS DISTORTION

Barely Relevant is the award-winning Nashville alternative rock project of singer-songwriter Bethany Graham Morton. Her raw emotion, poetic intensity, and unapologetic vulnerability define its sound. Where emotion meets distortion, Barely Relevant turns emotional wreckage into dark, cinematic rock through haunting melodies, heavy guitars, and emotionally charged vocals.

All songs are written by Bethany in collaboration with producer and songwriter Kevin Kerestes, exploring toxic relationships, self-sabotage, disillusionment, personal resilience, and the difficult process of letting go. Lyrics unfold like confessionals, filled with ghosts, storms, burning bridges, and blurred lines between illusion and reality.

Beyond the songs, Barely Relevant is a world shaped by Bethany's creative vision and brought to life through immersive visuals, storytelling, and live performances. Smoke, fire, mirrors, water, ghosts, and ruined spaces become visual representations of the emotions behind the music.

In 2026, Barely Relevant's debut album, Bad Habits, won Album of the Year - Multi-Genre at the Josie Music Awards, held at Nashville's Grand Ole Opry House. Barely Relevant earned three nominations overall, including Music Video of the Year for "Bad Habits" and Music Video of the Year - Performance Focused for "Wait for You."

Barely Relevant's next chapter is taking shape through the singles "Heartbeat," "Runaway," "Seven," "Burn Out," and "Writing on the Walls," all of which will appear on the project's second album, If Looks Could Kill, in 2027. The most recent release, "Writing on the Walls," captures the moment when the truth becomes too obvious to ignore and it is finally time to leave.

Through every release, Barely Relevant creates connection through beautifully broken moments, offering a soundtrack for anyone caught somewhere between holding on and walking away.
